Therapy Plus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides affordable mental health services to individuals and families in the greater Cincinnati area. We offer a sliding fee scale based on income and family size, and we never turn away anyone who needs our help.

Physical Therapy Plus

Therapy Plus Freedom from Pain
This study will evaluate the effectiveness of a new treatment for chronic pain that combines cognitive-behavioral therapy with a program that provides freedom from pain.
The study will enroll people who have chronic pain that is not due to a specific medical condition. The participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups.
The first group will receive cognitive-behavioral therapy plus a program that provides freedom from pain. The second group will receive cognitive-behavioral therapy only.
The participants will be evaluated at the beginning of the study, at the end of the study, and 6 months after the end of the study.
The primary outcome measure will be the change in the pain intensity score from the beginning of the study to the end of the study.
